This innovative approach involves a mobile application designed to record time-sensitive data and facilitate secure communication with a server in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Currently, the dental team utilizes traditional pH test strips to assess saliva acidity, primarily for patient education, preventive treatment planning, and selecting appropriate dental materials to promote oral hygiene improvements. The new technology seeks to enhance these processes by providing more precise and accessible pH measurements through the use of digital tools.
